Hereditary leadership, such as exemplified by kings and queens (royalism), is frequently slandered as being a backwards despotic form of governance. This is far from the truth: the essence of royalist forms of governance are superior to Republican forms of governance. Far from being lawless autocracies, royal realms are ones where all in society are bound by The Law - the framework within which the royal operates in a long-term perspective which is conducive to long-lasting prosperity.
